Mother’s Nature: Gifts To Celebrate The Mothers In Your Life

Mother’s Nature: Gifts To Celebrate The Mothers In Your Life
April 30, 2025
Since Mother’s Day is just around the corner (Sunday, May 11th), we thought we’d round up some expert recommendations for gift giving on this special day, along with some agebuzz favorites from some of our guest bloggers and collaborators. This year, we’re focusing on cost-conscious gift giving, given the state of the economy. Whether for your own mother, your grandmother, your daughter, or some other mother figure in your life, it’s nice to celebrate and acknowledge the hard work of being a mother in this day and age. As Dorothy from The Golden Girls once said, “It’s not easy being a mother. If it were easy, fathers would do it.”
We can start with some useful and creative ideas from The New York Times Wirecutter, which includes both a “Best of” list along with an “under $50 list.” Whether you’re considering cookbooks, clothing, cooking accessories, or custom gift packages, they’ve gathered a good group of ideas for the ladies in your life. Speaking of cost-conscious, Good Housekeeping scrolled through the large Mother’s Day gift list from Amazon and found the best gifts on that list for under $100. CNN says their list is what mothers actually want, so if your mom is in the market for pajamas, running shoes, or a massage gun, this is the list for you. And what’s Mother’s Day without some new beauty products to bring out your mother’s glow? Take a look at the new Marie Claire list for an array of beauty products intended for mature women. Finally, if your budget allows a bit of splurge on Mom, then you’ll be well served by the luxurious Mother’s Day gift list put out by Air Mail.
If you want to do good and do well for Mother’s Day, then we’d love to encourage you to support some of our guest bloggers and collaborators whose works and products are well-suited for the older women in your life. For example, consider a new Trelawear pendant, which we’ve previously introduced to agebuzz readers. Trelawear is a smart and beautiful solution for stylish women who want an emergency alert device. Using the code Agebuzz 10, agebuzz readers can get a 10% discount on their pendant purchase, and the 1st 2 months of free monitoring service (only available for a limited time for Mother’s Day on purchases made on Trelawear.com by May 18th). Check out Trelawear products here.
If your mom is a reader, then we have books to recommend! There are poetry books by agebuzz bloggers Jane Seskin and Dave Donelson, a Brain Health cookbook by guest blogger Dr. Annie Fenn, and some Grand Planning Guides by guest blogger Susanna Barton. Guest Blogger Louise Applebome would welcome some new participants in her Zoom yoga sessions, and if your mom is dealing with the challenges of family caregiving, you may want to pick up guest blogger Lance Slatton’s recent guidebook on family caregiving.
Finally, in case you missed it, Dr. Stephanie Venn-Watson, a renowned medical researcher, recently published her best-selling book, The Longevity Nutrient: The Unexpected Fat That Holds the Key to Healthy Aging. The groundbreaking research featured in this book is now available as a supplement to complement your healthy aging habits- Fatty 15. Agebuzz readers are entitled to a discount when purchasing Fatty 15! Use referral code AGEBUZZ and/or referral link https://fatty15.com/AGEBUZZ for 15% off your first order with Fatty15 and support your Mother’s healthy aging with either the book, supplement, or both!
And wishing all who celebrate a happy and healthy Mother’s Day!
